JAMES COMEY Since graduating from the College of William and Mary in 1982 and the University of Chicago Law School in 1985, James Comey has been a prosecutor, defense lawyer, general counsel, teacher, writer, and leader. He most recently served in government as Director of the FBI. His best-selling book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership was published in 2018 and made into a 2020 television limited-series. His second book, Saving Justice: Truth, Transparency, and Trust, also a New York Times bestseller, was published in 2021. Jim, as he is known to family and friends, and his wife, Patrice, live in Virginia and are the parents of five and grandparents (so far) of three.
JOHN BAINBRIDGE JR. Freelance writer and former reporter for The Baltimore Sun and legal affairs editor for The [Maryland] Daily Record. Author of Gun Barons: The Weapons That Transformed America and the Men Who Invented Them (St. Martin’s Press 2022) and coauthor of American Gunfight: The Plot to Kill Harry Truman and the Shoot-out that Stopped It (Simon & Schuster 2005). Has written articles for magazines, including Smithsonian and Audubon. An attorney who has practiced law in the public and private sectors and was a law clerk for two judges on Maryland’s highest court.
